Hi, I'm Malou. I write fiction — in both Dutch and English.
For years, my novel was the thing I did around everything else. Before work, with coffee and a half-awake brain. On Monday evenings, at a long table full of strangers who were all quietly typing away at their own stories at the public library.
Somewhere along the way, the book got finished. And I learned something I didn't expect: finishing a novel has very little to do with talent or free weekends. It has everything to do with knowing what to do next.
That's the part I now help other writers with.
